Marilyn Charlotte is a native Floridian. She grew up in West Palm Beach and now lives in Sarasota.

Marilyn studied Speech/Creative Writing at Columbia College, Columbia S.C., and has pursued related career paths in motion picture production, advertising/public relations, graphic design and arts management in Orlando, Jacksonville, Lakeland, Bradenton

Ms. Charlotte has studied Watercolor painting with noted artists Mun Quan, and Douglas Teller; portraiture with Courtenay Hunt, Charles Reid, Janet Rodgers and Gary Gessford and many other art classes/workshops with Ringling School of Art and Design, Jacksonville Art Museum, Polk Museum of Art, Polk Community College. Marilyn has won numerous awards for her watercolor and acrylic paintings and has paintings in private and corporate collections throughout the US and abroad.

Marilyn taught private art classes in Jacksonville and in Lakeland and was an exhibiting member of the San Jose Gallery Artist Cooperative in Jacksonville, Imperial Art Gallery in the Antiques District of Lakeland and Marina’s Art Gallery in Bradenton’s Village of the Arts. She has served on Florida Arts Council Advisory Panels and as President of Arts on the Park in Lakeland and on the Board of the Imperial Symphony Orchestra. She presently works as a fine artist in her Sarasota studio and teaches drawing, watercolor and acrylic painting classes. Marilyn is a member of the Florida Watercolor Society and signature member of Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society.
